There are 3 parts to a website - the domain (website) name, the platform that your website is designed on (in our case, Wix) and the hosting plan which is needed to put your website on the internet. The domain name and hosting subscription are annual fees paid to third parties and are not included in our package pricing. We can however organise these on your behalf and an invoice for reimbursement will follow.

Google prioritises New Zealand domains (.co.nz) and (.nz) for local searches because they’re more relevant. However, if your audience is international, a (.com) domain is still a good option for broader reach. With your Wix site, you can link multiple domain names to the same website, all directing to a primary page. This means that no matter which domain is entered, visitors will land on the same site. Many of our clients use both .co.nz and .com extensions. Some clients buy a similar-sounding or shortened version of their business name, along with their main domain, to help customers find them more easily and to protect their name from being taken by competitors (ie bobsartistanbakery.co.nz + bobsbakery.co.nz)

A hosting subscription with Wix is a paid plan that allows you to host your website on Wix's servers. This subscription provides you with the resources needed to keep your website online, such as storage, bandwidth, and other features like custom domains, email accounts, and enhanced security. Wix offers several hosting plans with different features, including options for businesses, e-commerce, and personal websites.

No. The host services are connected with the WIX CMS (Content Management System) so you cannot separate the hosting out. If you ever move away from a WIX based site, you would need to rebuild your website and you would connect your "domain name" to the new host.

Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) is the process of ranking your website to show up in Google results through various keyword searches related to your business. The higher you are ranked in Google, potentially the more traffic and customers you should get. We use Wix’s basic SEO when developing your website, which we find to be very effective. You can also explore additional options like Google Ads to further boost your online visibility and attract targeted traffic. Google Ads allows you to target specific keywords, demographics, and locations, ensuring your ads are shown to people who are actively searching for products or services like yours.

You do! Once you have approved the final design and have paid the balance of the Project cost, we will transfer the ownership of the site to you. We stay on in the background as a Web Manager so that we can access the site to make changes for you. We provide you with some basic training (one hour) so that you can manage the website yourself. We also offer additional, more in-depth training if needed by way of Wix Website Training.

The "hosting subscription" and "domain name" are annual fees which will require renewal. These are your sole responsibility. Whilst we can train you how to manage the site yourself, we also offer support packages to help support you and the ongoing marketing and development of your website.

Yes, you can make as many changes as necessary. You could even redesign it if you wanted! If you decide to add other features, there may be additional costs - ie if you go from a basic website to an online shop, you would need to upgrade to an appropriate plan that would allow payments to be accepted. At any given time you can upgrade your plan. There are also many other great add-on features and apps with WIX that you might find useful as your site develops and these can be added to your own Wix account as a monthly or annual fee. We can also assist with any changes, edits, upgrades - we offer various support packages or if you're looking for a redesign or more extensive work, contact us for more information.

Once you have paid your deposit, we will able able to book your project in and give you a timeframe depending on the size of your website. We find the general turn around is about 4-6 weeks. If you can provide us with concept, images, content and are quick to reviewing drafts, this will help in the process. Once you have signed off on the final design and have paid the balance of the Project, we will attach your domain name to your website which will take 24-48 hours to connect after which time your site will be live!

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required for your website design. If you decide not to proceed, the deposit will be forfeited. Additionally, depending on the progress made, an extra invoice may be issued to cover the work completed up to that point.

If your current site is built on a WIX platform and as long as you have ownership and access of the site, absolutely! If it is built on a different platform (ie WordPress, SquareSpace, Shopify, RocketSpark, etc) then we would need to redesign the site in WIX. Please see website design for more information on packages available.

Please note that your website may not appear in the search results immediately - it can take 4 days to 4 weeks for Google to anaylse your site and its links before it will rank high. Also, the more people that visit your site, the more it will appear in Google's analytic results which help with ranking.

With a premium Wix plan, you can set up a custom email address (e.g., yourname@yourbusiness.com) that matches your domain. This feature is available through Wix’s partnership with Google Workspace which provides professional email services, along with other tools like Google Drive, Calendar, and Docs, all integrated into your Wix account. This is in effect a gmail account but customised to your business. The cost is US$6.50 per month, around NZ$150 per year per business email.

You can use any images you own or have permission to use. We will ask you to send these during the design process. If you do not have any photos, we can source relevant and high quality stock images to bring your website to life. If there is a cost involved in purchasing an appropriate images, we will advise you.

Wix provides various reports and analytics to help you track your website’s performance. These include: Wix Analytics – Provides insights into site traffic, visitor behavior, and sales performance. SEO Reports – Shows how your site ranks in search engines and offers optimization tips. Sales & Revenue Reports (for eCommerce plans) – Tracks orders, revenue, and customer trends. Marketing Reports – Measures the effectiveness of email campaigns, social media, and ad performance. You can access these reports through your Wix Dashboard > Analytics & Reports section. Some advanced reports may require a premium plan. You also have the opportunity to subscribe to receive your monthly reports.
